Born from Real-World Need
How two students solved a university-wide problem
◈ The Challenge at Miami University
At Miami University's Farmer School of Business, Jacob and Mohsin witnessed firsthand the chaos of syllabus collection and AACSB accreditation preparation. Faculty struggled with manual uploads, administrators scrambled to gather evidence, and compliance tracking was a nightmare.
The existing systems were fragmented, expensive, and unreliable. Syllabi were scattered across email, shared drives, and paper files. When accreditation time came, it meant weeks of frantic searching and document compilation.
There had to be a better way.
▲ Building the Solution
Jacob (Technology Lead) and Mohsin (Business Strategy) combined their expertise to create Excalibur—a platform that would solve not just Miami's problem, but the challenges faced by business schools everywhere.
They leveraged cutting-edge technology: Arweave blockchain for permanent, cost-effective storage, and Google's Gemini AI for intelligent document verification. The result was a system that was both powerful and easy to use.
What started as a solution for one school became a platform ready to transform academic governance nationwide.
